Move Over Magic Mike, Ellora’s Cave Publishes Stripper Tell All

This past summer American audiences were treated to Steven Soderbergh’s MAGIC MIKE.  Personally, I didn’t see the movie.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge fan of the director’s work, but unfortunately I had to pass. For one, the movie’s title reminded me of a Florida mixtape DJ of the same name.  That in itself was a partial deal breaker because I couldn’t keep myself from disassociating the movie from a college classmate who used to blast DJ Magic Mike’s music from the cheapest set of amps on the face of the Earth.  Don’t get me wrong, Andre was mad cool, but it was an insult to play Miami bass on a busted stereo system from a blue Chevette no less.  I swear there were times we thought his music was going to tear that little car apart!

Secondly, there’s nothing worse than seeing hot male strippers perform live  and then having to go home empty-handed.  So, the idea of seeing them on the big screen sort of left me cold.However, when I came across a posting of Ellora’s Cave’s newest offering, TAKE IT OFF! THE NAKED TRUTH ABOUT MALE STRIPPERS, I was intrigued.  Get this its a tell-all book written by two of the erotic publishers’ cover models who are also strippers.

According to the book’s blurb, the book’s two authors, Justin Whitfield and Taylor Cole, are the real deal.  They just didn’t jump into the business to pay their way through “college”.  No, sir! These two hunks have twenty years of performing on three different continents and thousands of satisfied women between them. The two have become so well-known in their profession they’ve been featured in countless newspapers, calendars and magazines.

But you know what impressed me most about this book is the fact that the two guys wrote it themselves.  That’s right, no ghostwriter involved! Heck, I know writers who’ve been working on the same book for years.  Not these guys.  They pitched the idea to Ellora’s Cave, recorded their first draft, banged it out and then submitted it.  Two months later after intense edits, the book came out October 5.  If that’s not impressive, I don’t know what is considering their busy schedules and other responsibilities.  And get this, they’re not done.  They’re in the works to pen a sequel.  According to them, this one will be even steamier and have way more details about their undercover escapades!

There’s no doubt about it, I’m going to pick this one up.  I’m dying to see what it feels like to be every woman’s,fantasy even if for an hour or two.  I’m also curious to see how they deal with the public and manic adulation.  I’ve come across a stripper groupie or three and it isn’t pretty.
